Our Company

NYC Tree Pit Services was started in 2018 with the simple mission of improving the quality of life in New York City by bringing more green to a place that New Yorkers spend a lot of time - the sidewalk.

Streetside trees are so critical to making our city livable. They improve the quality of the air we breathe, cool our buildings and communities, keep our streets cleaner, provide a much-needed connection to our natural selves, and instill beauty and a sense of pride in our communities.

Yet so many of New York's street trees and tree pits are empty, damaged, dangerous and filthy. While the City does its best to provide preventative and emergency care, it simply does not have the resources to fully support nearly 700,000 street trees in the city. For most people, the process for improving street trees and tree pits can feel lengthy, bureaucratic and prohibitively expensive. This is the need that NYC Tree Pit Services seeks to fill.

We are a 100% female owned and operated firm and a NYC Certified WBE (Women-Owned Business Enterprise).

Our Climate Commitment

We believe that climate change is the number one threat to human sustainability and feel strongly that commitment from the business community is critical to combating it. That is why we constantly strive to:

  • Use organic products, sourced whenever possible from local farms and nurseries
  • Avoid use of inorganic fertilizers, pesticides and chemically treated lumber
  • Use construction materials that are recycled or sustainably harvested
  • Minimize the carbon footprint of our business operations

Above all, we donate 10% of our net income to non-profit environmental causes which share our mission, work to combat climate change and protect our planet’s natural resources.

When you work with NYC Tree Pit Services, you support a greener NYC and a healthier planet.
